Meet Bawdy Shop Burlesque
Bawdy Shop Burlesque is a troupe of innovative, independent performers who are uncompromising in our commitment to support and inspire the art of burlesque. With the unique culture of Baltimore as our muse, our shows strive to entertain and to engage, to challenge and to celebrate, to titillate and to tease, to push boundaries and to promote belonging. As active members of the arts community, Bawdy Shop Burlesque seeks to build awareness of and expand audiences for burlesque as well as for the live arts overall.
Sunny Sighed has Old Bay in her soul. Born and bred on the Eastern Shore, Sunny was crowned the 2013 Baltimore burlesque “Queen of Crabs” and graduated magna cum laude from the Shenandoah Conservatory with a BFA in Musical Theater. Sunny rises and shines on the stage, combining song and striptease, vocals with va-va-voom! She can also be seen with her partner, the incomparable Bal'd Lightning, with whom she won "Best Hybrid" act at the Great Burlesque Expo 2016 as well as Dangrrr Doll's Judge's Pick.
Straight outta Charm City comes the comedic assailant of ennui, the daring darling, Cherie Nuit. Cherie is an award-winning burlesque performer ("Most Humorous" at the Great Burlesque Expo '15) and graduated magna cum laude from the Maryland Institute College of Art (emphasis in performance art). Burlesque Beat says that Cherie performs. "...the burlesque I love: funny, provocative and strange."
She was born in Manhattan, but Kay Sera's burlesque career came straight from between Baltimore's legs. She's performed at shows and festivals across the country, including as the opening act at the 2014 Burlesque Hall of Fame's Movers, Shakers and Innovators showcase. Whether turning a trope on its ear or playing up on pop culture, 21st Century Burlesque calls her, "an imaginative and memorable performer.” Visit her page for more information.

Proud to be a fourth generation Baltimoron, Ruby Rockafella's burlesque acts range from lovely to bizarre and from graceful to lascivious, and she always leaves the audience wondering just what it is they've witnessed. Ruby, like any precious stone, loves to shine. She also likes to put shiny things on her crotch. Brightest Young Things says she "oozes silent charisma." Ruby Rockafella is the Princess of the 2015 Great Southern Exposure Burlesque and Variety Arts Pageant!
Giddy GoGo is our fresh Stage Kitten with the killer grin, keen on kitsch and karaoke. This leopard-print loving lady gets down and dirty with Baltimore burlesque's finest and filthiest. A talented stage manager, thespian and pelvic-thruster, Giddy is adored by Elvis Impersonators and vaudevillians alike.
